1. NO VETERINARY DIAGNOSIS OR TREATMENT
B.A.R.K.™ and its non-veterinary providers do not diagnose disease, prescribe veterinary medication, perform veterinary medical procedures, or replace licensed veterinary care.

2. RECOVERY SUPPORT
Recovery-related services may include non-clinical support such as:
- observation
- routine assistance
- feeding and hydration support
- comfort support
- restricted-activity support
- mobility assistance within provider scope
- documentation
- medication reminders or permitted assistance
- communication of observations
Such support must remain within the provider’s qualifications and the client’s instructions and, where applicable, veterinary direction.
Recovery support does not replace veterinary monitoring, diagnosis, treatment, or follow-up care.
3. MEDICATIONS
Medication-related assistance, when offered, is limited to what is lawful, appropriate to the provider’s qualifications, authorized by the client, and consistent with written veterinary directions when applicable.
B.A.R.K.™ does not prescribe medication or determine medication dosage.
4. EMERGENCIES
If an animal appears to be experiencing an emergency or serious medical condition, contact a licensed veterinarian or veterinary emergency facility immediately.
Website forms, concierge inquiries, and routine B.A.R.K.™ communications should not be used as substitutes for emergency veterinary care.
5. ACCURATE CARE INFORMATION
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and current care instructions, medication information, behavioral information, veterinarian contact information, emergency contacts, and known risks.
6. PROVIDER SCOPE
Care capabilities vary according to provider qualifications, species experience, applicable laws, location, safety considerations, and the requested service.
A requested service may be declined or modified when it falls outside an appropriate non-veterinary scope of care.
7. SPECIALIZED SPECIES
Services involving birds, reptiles, aquatic animals, equine animals, farm animals, livestock, exotic species, or other specialized animals may require additional experience, facilities, permits, licensing, or professional involvement.
Availability is subject to appropriate qualifications, applicable law, safety, and geography.
8. CLIENT-VETERINARIAN RELATIONSHIP
B.A.R.K.™ encourages clients to maintain an appropriate relationship with a licensed veterinarian.
Questions regarding an animal’s diagnosis, prognosis, medication, treatment, or medical condition should be directed to the animal’s veterinarian.
